We were excited to try this place, but unfortunately didn’t like it as much as we’d hope. To start, the service wasn’t great. It wasn’t terrible, but not good. We were seated and our server brought drinks and took our appetizer menu, but then after that waited about 10 minutes to come back and take our food order—even though we had 4 young children and were clearly ready. He was just sitting there taking to other workers anyway, so it wasn’t a “he was busy” issue. The appetizer was delivered, but no utensils. Fine—we ate it with our hands. In town to root on our favorite team and stopped in Bulldog Burger to power up before the game. This team from hostess to kitchen to wait staff to bartenders were all working so very hard to make everyone’s visit go smoothly. We were able to check in prior to our visit on yelp but as one would expect in a game day the estimated time was off some especially since it was super cold and the patio wasn’t really an option. Everything here is excellent! From the food to the atmosphere and the music choices, it’s all top-notch. This is a wonderful place to dine, and it's no surprise that Bulldog Burger has gained popularity beyond state lines. Every visit, I explore something new from the menu, and I’ve never been let down. Today, Hayden was the manager, and he kept everything running smoothly. Ben served me at the bar and was incredibly knowledgeable about the drinks and menu, providing excellent recommendations. I visited this restaurant in Starkville with my wife and parents to celebrate graduation. It was incredibly busy since graduation was happening later that day, but the service was still excellent. There was a great selection of drinks and a wide variety of food options. My wife ordered a salad, and I had the chicken sliders, which I’ve been trying to recreate here in South Carolina ever since. A Starkville Must Do for awesome burgers, unique flavor popping apps, and an amazing selection of local and other worldly drinks. A fun, energetic atmosphere with service that is second to none our sever, Bryce, made our day! She's a true customer relations pro. Will definitely request her section upon return gotta work through the rest of the menu! Everything is good here.
I tried the Bryant burger, and it was an ideal blend of sweetness from the Jack Daniel's sauce and savory flavors from the mustard. The craft beer selection is excellent, and the option to do a flight is a great way to sample several varieties. Bulldog is definitely the place to go for burgers and beers.
