First time there-we are vacationing from PA. They should get 10 stars just for the fact they love French bulldogs. Plus they have pics of the dogs-what's not to love?! We did enjoy the brisket dinner, mac and cheese, and Cole slaw. We also got the chicken sandwich with fries and cornbread. We had a good assortment of sauces so everyone in our party of 4 was happy with the selections and our meals. They had outdoor picnic tables, but it was hot outside so we ate indoors where it was cool. Ordering was easy-there's a sign where u place your order and then they call your name for pickup. I am guessing this restaurant would be a fave with locals.
Great BBQ. The brisket is so good. It looks a little fun y because it was cut so thin, but wow did it taste good. Really loved the slow burn BBQ sauce. The staff are super fun and a riot. It was the end of the day so they gave us, and a couple other people, some extra food since they couldn't keep it. This is awesome for 2 reasons. Free food that gave us leftovers for tomorrow and the reassurance that they are really making new fresh food everyday and not just reheating old stuff. I would highly recommend this for anyone in the mood for some quick BBQ.
Great BBQ! We usually get pulled pork by the pound, which is nicely shredded, moist but not greasy. The sauces are really good as well. They have mustard SC , vinegar ENC , sweet TX and hot ?? . They didn't give us pickles or bread or anything besides sauce with the meat by the pound. We asked for buns and got the tiniest little buns that were like slider size. Not sure what was going on there. Can't speak to the sides but the BBQ itself is well worth the money. You can eat there but it's pretty basic. We usually get to go and it is delicious!
Updated review first time we've been in here since we tried this over 5 years ago. Let's start with what was good. The creamy coleslaw very good. The three bean bake, good. The fries were good. Loaded baked potato salad good. We all had either brisket, pulled pork, or ribs. All were greasy! That was disappointing. Ribs were a bit tough. Now the really bad that Mac and cheese. It doesn't even move the needle for me. Very bland. Any place can (and will) have a bad night. I fear Bullies has lost their mojo. Réservez une table maintenant
Good BBQ close to Shelter Cove. Service was quick. Inside is pretty basic but clean. The brisket was thinly sliced and flavorful. There was some fat, but no more than other BBQ places. Corn bread was a little more spicy than I like. Baked beans were very flavorful. Potato salad was good. Rolls were great, but the bottom layer was soaked by the time I got home with carry out. Price was a little higher than I expected. Overall good, but not quite 5 stars.
Very sad. Used to be one of the best BBQ places around, now just kinda... bad. Why? Had ribs, they didn't even bother to remove the membrane on the ribs making it chewy and actually disgusting to eat. The ribs were flavorless and extremely chewed. Honestly, any chain would be better. Or even make them yourself, they'd probably be more flavorful. I know they had problems with their meat supplier, but this was lazy cooking and bad BBQ. Do better.
THE BEST BBQ EXPERIENCE MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE EVER HAD! You cannot leave Hilton Head island without eating at Bullies BBQ! Liz was amazing and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. Jeff was kind and knowledgeable. The brisket was MELT IN YOUR MOUTH DELICIOUS. Sides were fantastic. Sauces were out of this world. It was everything I wanted in a southern BBQ experience.
Hungry for some BBQ at lunch. This place hit the spot. Takeaway for family meals. Brisket sandwich with sides of green beans and creamy slaw and Mac cheese I will return to try the Carolina slaw and pulled pork. Seating both indoors and out. Réservez une table maintenant
