Though the service was extraordinarily slow (The entire restaurant appeared to only have three staff this evening), the food made up for any delays! It is incredibly flavorful and I wanted some of everything on the menu! After tasting several dishes, we ordered extra to take home! This may be my favorite place in Madison! They also have a very extensive and fun cocktail list! If you’re looking for a casual place with great food and you’re not in a hurry, definitely check it out!!!! (I HIGHLY recommend the Dorowot! We felt like we had to try it because the menu claimed it was the top selling menu item, and I can see why!!!! It was amazing and we ordered an extra to go

beautiful Ethiopian cuisine in the vicinity of a friendly neighbourhood restaurant. I had visited buraka many paintings at her former location in the state street, I was glad to find her after her relocation to the new location again. the building looks small and relieved from the outside, but inside it has a warm friendly feeling, essentially an Ethiopian style neighboring bar and restaurant. we had a family plate with doro wot, alicha and tibs that was super tasty! the personal was super helpful, and the service was prompt. the location is a bit outside the road, but more than the trip worth

Aside from the fact that its very difficult to wrap your coconut around a Jolly Bob's that isn't Jolly Bob's anymore, Buraka has done a fantastic job with this space. The remodel is really open, and warm. The food is as I remembered it, with some nods to Bobs on the menu (Yucca Fries for the win). I don't know (or really even care) if this food is authentically Ethiopian. What I do care about is that it is tasty, and there are plenty of options for vegetarians.  Our server was really wonderful, and fun. The kind of service one expects when hanging out on Willy.

I've been wanting to try their Friday fish fry for ages, and am so happy I did! Fresh and cooked to melt-in-the-mouth perfection, with the perfect amount of berbere spice. The sides (sweet potato fries, rice and chickpeas, and cold lentil salad) were a perfect complement, and the dipping sauce was great with everything! I shared a plate with my dining companion, with an added side of the sweet potato fries, and we left pleasantly full. Kind service as well, by Maron. Can't wait to try their regular menu!

the food was good but different. it's Ethiopian food. first time I tried it. if you like spicy food but my roommate and I got appetizers the fish and chips but the chops were french fries and we had chicken tenders. the only thing that was spicy was the dipping sauce

Delicious! Was trying to try some food that I had never had before and this place was amazing! Perfectly spicy and delicious. Injera was great! Lots of flavor in all the food.

I wish this city had more African restaurants and personally, I am desperate for a Swahili restaurant, but Ethiopian is as close as I will get in this town. Réservez une table maintenant
