I try to get to Schriesheim every year, as my family as well as my school mates are there. During each visit a trip to the Strahlenburg is a must. After all, I played hide-and-seek there, climbed up to the top of the keep and in later years celebrated New Years. The view from the large terrace, on which the local wine tastes twice as good, into the Rhine flats, is nothing short of breathtaking. Immediately in front of the terrace is the "Kuhberg", probably the finest vineyard in the area and below the quaint town of Schriesheim.
