Double Bacon Jam Smash Burger (extra mushrooms Double Greek Burger We both enjoyed our meals, but there were a few quirks that I want to point out. Most importantly, I wish they had some way to prevent the meat juices from soaking into the bottom bun. (Possible lettuce barrier? After a few bites, the bun got way too soggy. Personally, I also thought the double bacon jam burger was too salty and had too much bbq sauce on it which overwhelmed everything else on the burger. In contrast, the double Greek burger was more to my taste because it was lighter and had more of a fresh taste. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I’d definitely go back again to try their fries and shakes next time.
Certainly not your worst option for a burger in Astoria, but nothing special. We asked for our burgers medium but they came without any pink in the middle. Atmosphere is fine, but clearly not the selling point. As far as service is concerned, its been passable for most of the meal, but as I sit here writing this its been 20 minutes since we asked for our check so take that for what you will. All that said the burgers were pretty tasty, so overall a solid 3/5.
Easily some of the best tasting burgers I've actually ever had. The drinks weren't great and I had early doubts. The Bloody Mary tasted like a V8 and the mimosa tasted like Sunny D, so I gave up on anything alcoholic and just got a shake, which was great. Then the food came out and I forgot about any negative experience I previously had, everything was so good.
I have no doubt that the burgers are good. But I walked in and the entire restaurant smelled like a bathroom. Maybe there is a plumbing issue but as a general rule of thumb, I don’t eat in places that smell bad. I'm like… wait, shouldn’t I smell flame grilled burgers, onions, fries, and the like? I lost my appetite immediately. I U-turned out of there so fast.
