we had booked the silvesterarrangement 2015/2016 for 95 euro per person without drinks. for so much money was the performance underground. the guests had to stand outside, because they had not expected so many guests at the same time. the buffet was at best average, simplest standard. the service was overwhelmed from the beginning, long waiting times, warm white wine, warm champagne, warm beer. simply bad. the most shameful was the band. these three men were the absolute mood killers. it was not played a danceable music, and if a few were getting on the dance floor, it was immediately replayed, and it was played on silvester. the event was called party. a band member actually said at half 10...

directly opposite the entrance to the heidelberger castle and right at the cable car station this restaurant is well located.There is a beautiful beer garden with plenty of shade and sun for those who both like and to relax one of these warm summer afternoons. eating seems to be in order. but when we were there, it was hard to excite the attention of the waiters and waiters, and then it took a while until our orders arrived. at least it wasn't so bad that it spoiled us the afternoon!
more unfriendly it is not. the old man who served us (was probably the chief) cried in italian before himself (my colleague translated, did not sound very nice) if we did not react within a tenth of a second, rolled constantly with the eyes. Nice hidden place with small menu. We only were told they dont take cards when asked for the bill. No ATM around so had to drive down town to get the cash. Bit ridiculous taking the whole and cashless payments. The waitress should have...advised of same when taking the order. Disappointed over all
visited the beer garden of burgfrei at a very hot day in juli (2017). tables under trees and tents made for the urgently needed shadow. eating was good, cold heidelberger pils was better. Note: bring cash. . . during our visit no debit/credit cards were accepted.
