Hallo zusammen,wir waren an einem Sonntag im Juli zu viert auf der Terasse, welche zum Restaurant gehört. Der Bilck über den Rhein und die Weinberge ist ein Traum. Leider konnte das Essen & der Service nicht mithalten. Wir hatten einen Winzersekt zum Einstieg, Vorspeisen und Haupgericht + Dessert! Dazu Wein & Wasser. Der Service war bemüht, aber es gab kein Beratung und keine Einleitung zum jeweiligen Hauptgang. Das kann man bei den Preisen schon erwarten. Die Qualität war gut - die Protionen sehr übersichtlich, bis sehr klein. Wir haben zu viert einen Rechnung von 360,00 Euro ohne Trinkgeld gehabt - das war es leider in keiner Weise wert. Waren mit 17 Leuten zum Mittagessen.bei hochsommerlichen Temperaturen sind wir zu einer Besprechung des Menues gekommen. Es wurde uns nicht einmal ein Glas Wasser angeboten,erst nach unsererAnfrage wurde eine Flasche Wasser gebracht.Bei der Hauptspeise baten wir um zwei Wahlmöglichkeiten , da nicht alle Lamm essen. Dies wurde abgelehnt.Zum Aufpreis mussten wir auf Rind zugreifen mit deutlichen Aufpreis.Vorspeise Stör,Maniok absolut ohne jeglichen Geschmack.Schmeckte wie ein Brei.Bestätigt haben es alle Gäste.Dessert: Champagne-Melone-Süppchen war nicht erfrischend,lauwarm.Man hat das Gefühl gehabt ,das die Speisen lieblos vorbereitet waren.
The area is set in a former castle, surrounded by luscious vineyards. We stayed overnight and got a room in the nicely restored Kutscherhouse , the former carriage building. There are two restaurants, a fine dining and a more democratic one. We chose the last and...didn 't notice that this isn 't supposed to be fine dining. We enjoyed a menu with local specialties, accompanied with wines from the region. It was all perfect, quality of food, the wines and the quality of the service. There is fresh garden, which makes this a perfect wedding location :O)

Ob zu geschäftlichen Anlässen oder privat, wir kommen gerne in das Burgrestaurant.Schon die tolle Lage und der Blick ins Rheintal lohnen sich für einen Besuch.Die Speise- und Weinkarte ist sehr gelungen und ausgewogen zusammengestellt.Die Speisen sind qualitativ hochwertig, fein zubereitet und sehr ansprechend präsentiert.Der Service ist freundlich, sehr aufmerksam und kompetent. Die Einrichtung ist sehr ansprechend und geschmackvoll. Tolle Terrasse!Preis und Leistung absolut stimmig.
This is an incredibly beautiful place with a Toscana like atmosphere that offers excellent food. The buffet was tasty and light, especially the homemade pasta and the fish were excellent. But the mousse au chocolat was the best I've eaten in the last years ...so rich and light at the same time incredible. Perfect spot for special occasions or business business meetings.
I had some good time feasting at Burgrestaurant Burg Schwarzenstein. The view from the restaurant overlooking the vineyards and river Rhine is just superb, during the day as well as at night. Not have much of a palate for German food, but I found...the local recommended beer and the desserts to be awesome.
really bad service. eating does not meet the relais chateaux standard and the restaurant manager argued with us although he is in the wrong order. he didn't want to take account of his error. the wrong court was also not taken by our billions. they spend their money elsewhere.

Wir freuen uns immer wieder über den freundlichen Service. Das Essen ist immer sehr gut und die empfohlenen Weine passen gut. Der wunderbare Blick, insbesondere bei schönem Wetter ist grandios. Wir sind regelmäßig auf Burg Schwarzenstein und dies aus gutem Grund.
