The owner/cook has a selection of locally grown trouts and wild forested mushrooms. I can't begin to describe all the decisions, but there is something everyone will enjoy. In addition, he specializes in Saumagen, a local pebble, and liver bone, as well as homemade bratwurst. Many variations of wild boar (Pig) and occasionally reh (Deer) are also present. You'll never go wrong here. He even prepares pancakes smeared in chocolate or apples for the children.
We arrived on Friday beginning of March after a nice walk on the hill from Hambach Castle for lunch. The restaurant has a light, sticky fake decoration, but the view of the castle is beautiful. There were only two other diners, but... the menu had a large selection (German cuisine) and there were several specialties. The food was very good, and the service was friendly and prompt. And prices were reasonable in view of the place. We'll be back.
We ate here after a visit to Hambach Castle on a cool spring evening. The restaurant is warm and welcoming with a very nice view from the dining rooms. The service was excellent, especially with regard to our children. The staff went out...the way to feel warm and welcome. The food was great and cheap. No complaints, and we will certainly turn on again when you visit the area.

in burgschänke rittersberg am hambacher schloss they can go well eat. the service staff is very friendly. the selection of foods is on more exquisite, but they still find something. Of course they have to pay a small Hambacher lock bonus. You can't eat cheap here. for that they have a nice plan and delicious dishes.
Very friendly, quick service, nice reception. Beautiful view of Hambach Castle and the valley. Palatine cuisine, fish card, all very tasty and beautifully decorated. Good value for money. Special requests were kindly received. We'll be back.
