Burgschanke Veste Coburg

This place is very nice and I am sure in the summer when seating outside is comfortable then it will be nice to sit and enjoy the view with a cold beer. Well as we entered it was as entering the castle with the walls, hall way and looking around all is kept in the Castle style, we were quickly approached by a Waitress and she also found table for us by the window to sit and look out in the yard (it could be cleaned from all kinds of items to leave a cleaner impression) the service was quick and pleasant and the suggestions and order was quickly served. Food for the children came fast and it was big portions, the goose leg was extremely tender and tasty, the “Leberkäse” with potatosalad just...

They have a board with a following text there: Please be kind to our staff, nowdays it 's harder to get staff than guests. Instead they should have written: Dear staff, please be kind to the guests or one day you will have none.

The only place to eat if you visit Veste Coburg. The service was good, but the food was only average, but not bad. Prices were a little high, but not as bad as some tourist locations I've visited.

Eating literally on the walls of the castle is just wow. The food could be just a little bit better to get 4 stars, but the beer (HB) is excellent and the service very friendly.

The brat and the curry wurst we ordered were okay. My Cola was flat. The service was slow, even by German standards. The view was great.
