This place is definitely transitioning. It no longer allows smoking inside... And is definitely clean (ie not a Delco dirt bar). This is everything that you would want to see in a corner bar.. My wife and I had a great time in here for hours... I have foresee this place continuing to turn the corner, similar to its neighbors... I would recommend stopping in and having a couple drinks. Kevin the bartender is awesome...
Burke 's appears to be trying to widen their appeal to a broader audience. Typically falling under the genre of locaL dive bar complete with no food, unlimited smoking, shuffle board and regulars. Looks like a recent change to no smoking on Saturdays, fresh paint and updated bathrooms rendering the bathrooms the nicest in Havertown! I might be back again...especially with no smoking Saturdays.
This is a fantastic bar for hanging out with friends and meeting new people. It’s a plus that it's a non-smoking venue. I highly recommend giving it a try—you’ll likely enjoy it!
