Don't Underestimate Gas Station Fare!. I have passed Burritos To Go more times than I care to count and never bothered to stop. Not because I'm a food snob that counts out gas station cuisine; I just didn't realize that BTG had an actual food counter. I'm usually zipping through on my limited lunch time, so I never took the time to stop in. Thank you to my fellow reviewer for giving me the incentive! I don't know whether to start with taste or price because they are equally amazing. I went for the Mole Poblano Con Pechuga De Pollo which I understand enough to be some kind of Chicken Mole burrito. It turns out they no longer have that on the menu. So, I went for the Deshebrada En Salsa Verde...
Awesome Affordable. This is an authentic burrito shop!! The have burritos you can eat in or burritos you can take to go. The food is authentic as authentic can get. It's run by a very nice family. They are always welcoming and just want to let you try their food. I'm attaching a few pics of the menu. The cost for a meal is very low. You can fill yourself here for less than anywhere I can think of. I think i have been there 4 times since I went the first time about 3 weeks ago.<br/ <br/ The restaurant is located in a Gas Station. Great Little Place!. I stopped in to pick up lunch after a co-worker recommended Burritos to Go. The lady working behind the counter was super nice in explaining the menu and even offering some samples. I ended up ordering the picadillo burrito with ground beef and potato and it was excellent.. A great lunch for $3.50! I've noticed driving by that they open early and they do have huevos meals on the menu.May of 2013 update: I stopped in and there was a new menu and new faces behind the counter. The smaller 3 dollar burritos are gone, a large was 5.99.Still a good quick place to stop in but not the insane good deal it once was.
A Hidden Treasure. I was genuinely surprised by this place. It's located inside a gas station and has about 10 to 15 seats with 5 or 6 small tables. There’s no flashy decor, and the ambiance feels a bit rundown. That being said, the burrito was amazing. I tried the shredded beef with green sauce, and it was so flavorful that I didn’t even need to add salsa or hot sauce. If you’re not a fan of the setting, you can always take it to go, but for around $5, you get a burrito the size of one from Chipotle, and it's just as good, if not better. You really can’t go wrong!
Great Buritto Value w/Great Taste. I too passed this place and was like noway can they have good food. I have worked in the Northland for many months now and have struggled to find good tasting food. The authentic flavor is there at great prices! I walked in at noon and only waited a few minutes for my meal. It was great!
One of the best burritos I've ever had in KC! It's packed full of seasoned fried potatoes, onions, peppers and chicken shrimp and cheese. There are many types and they do more than burritos too that I'm excited to try. If you want a good burrito experience you go here.
