We are not a stranger to Burwells and their steak is by far the best quality and their wagyu beef pure perfection. For appetizers we had snake river farms wagyu hot rocks, lamb Lollipops on hot rock that you grill on the rock itself, and oysters Rockefeller. They were all absolutely delicious in every bite. We had 8 ounces of snake river farms Wagyu Hanger with lobster tail and for the sides truffle Parmesan potatoes, asparagus and with mushroom and shallot sauce, 6 ounces Petites Filet Mignon, and classic South jambalaya. When food is made right and the experience fits with the right environment, it deserves praise. Cary Leigh was our waitress and did an excellent job. My fiancé and I came from MD and I was hunting for a nice dinner for our last night and found a happy reservation for 8:30. We had the wagyu hot rock, oyster, 6 oz petit filet, 14 oz ribeye, crème brûlée, and the house special dessert of the week matches. Unbelievable. Probably one of the best filets I've ever tried, including cuts of STK Cut in Vegas and Steakhouses in Nashville. Normally, I would take more photos, but time didn't find it. 10/10 would do it again.
We hadn’t been to Burwell’s in a few years. It wasn’t as nice as I remembered. I thought that since we were made to submit a credit card number to make a reservation that we would at least have been seated upstairs in the nicer more quiet part of the restaurant. We felt like the “walk in” traffic got better attention than we did. We were seated across from the bar and it was so loud that we could hardly hear each other when we spoke. The food and drinks were good but everything else really took away from that. Our waiter was excellent! He was doing the best that he could!

My compliments to the kitchen staff. I can't praise this record enough. The steak was perfectly shipped on the outside; inside perfectly rare. The asparagus was perfectly delicate. Potatoes and calf glaze are only wow. #totalpleasure. Aaron with the waiter was the best. Will definitely return.
Our server, Cathy, did a wonderful job taking care of us! Our meal was perfectly paced! The food was outstanding! So glad we chose Burwell’s for our last night in Charleston!
The amount of char on such a rare steak was simply amazing. Great service and outstanding food and beverages. 10/10 will visit again.
