Best place around when the previous owners ran it. Now real real bad. Yesterday only few cakes to buy, no chocolates to buy or on display, (cause of no staff I was told) and the quality has gone so far downhill I will no longer...buy anything . I have been a loyal customer for years but no more. Thick tasteless pastry cases, use of inferior products (pudding powder not half the selection they used to have. Unfortunately the new owner is not willing to put in the work as his predecessor and teacher did. Such a great pity. That combined with the owners rude way of dealing with customers.... not for us!

It is very popular and always full in the afternoon. Waiting can be bad as the take-away stuff just screams at you to be bought. All cakes tried so far have been a good standard.

Schade, die Quiche war schlicht und einfach ein grosse Enttäuschung, Essbar war der Inhalt, nicht jedoch der Boden. Die Gulaschsuppe war in Ordnung und die Patisserie sieht sehr lecker aus und das bestellte Stück mit Mango war gut. Dass die Rechnung für die genossenen Sachen auf einem Stück Papier handgeschrieben daher kam, erstaunte und doch sehr (Steuern??)

A very relaxing spot on the main Kaiserstrasse square in Waldshut. I have been here many times for coffee and pastries, and quality is always good. Service can be on the slow side, especially if outside on the square, but who wants to rush in...such a nice setting, anyway?
This is another very nice café in Waldshut. It's the competitor of Ratsstüble and competition is doing its job. This café also serves excellent cake. very nice surroundings. The interieur is a bit old, though.
Meinen Mitbewerbern kann ich einfach nicht zustimmen. Alles war bestens auch beste Lage bester Cafe und beste Torten. Auch der Service war einwandfrei. Also meine Empfehlung an alle einfach mal testen.
Mir ist es viel zu eng in diesem Lokal. Unser Fluchtversuch verzögerte sich, weil ich erst nach mehrmaligem Mahnen zahlen konnte. Immerhin: Die Quiche war gut.

Amazing selection of traditional delicious cakes served by super attentive and lovely staff. Nothing too much trouble and the cakes are really special.
old fashioned furniture and that makes the whole place cosy. Excellent coffee. very central and nice embiance.
