Café Alter Markt is a real advantage for Euskirchen, because there are many vegan options that are surprised in a small town and a rather traditional café like this. In addition to several breakfast options, there are soups, salads, tartes (flam cake), cakes and much more, including changing seasonal dishes. All options are marked. You can also get your hot drinks with soy milk or vegetable milk. The food tastes good even though it is a bit on the simple side sometimes. The café is spacious but still packed in peak times. The food is usually served quickly. The location is very central, which is another plus.

We hebben meerdere malen iets genuttigd op het terras. De eerste maal met een vriendelijke en attente bediening door een jongedame die er blijkbaar jobstudente was, de tweede maal door een oudere dame die op automatische piloot stond en met moeite vriendelijk was. Desondanks de vermelding "biergarden" op het windscherm, was het koude bier na 2 rondjes op. Voor taart moet je zeker gaan, maar niet om veel biertjes te drinken.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Alter Markt 55 in Cologne. The buffet offered cold meats, breads and all sorts of lovely cheeses. The service was friendly and efficient and kids eat for free. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here and can highly recommend this restaurant.
