the afternoon stopped to get coffee after he had spent the day around goslar. Earlier in the morning, we had stopped a coffee in another cafe. that was more casual to each other. the contrast between the quality of the coffee and the dramatic...increased price difference cannot be exaggerated. the cafe at the market served us both with a dramatic price difference of inferior and unused coffee products. if they take sugar in their drink. they do not get the choice of their own personal taste. We have been enjoying tremendous restaurants in Germany from fast food to bakeries to lunch spots to dinners. The Cafe Am Markt was by far the worst the only reason we stayed is because it was inside and a chilly wind was blowing. Service.. uncaring at best, insolent at worst. Food quality: terrible. Inedible. We paid and left and went to ANOTHER restaurant.

Solid German staples. No English translation for menu and limited English spoken by waitress. Food was good and served in timely manner. No credit or debit card facilities however. Which is fun if you've only got euro on you and we're expecting to pay...by card. Seems silly when you market yourself as a historic tourist cafe.

my wife and I chose to sit on the market with a cake and a coffee before the historic caffe, while we watched the daytimes in the scheifer hotel. cake was delicious and coffee was particularly beautiful. the service was fast but not many. smiles from the dame that took the order : Réservez une table maintenant

after a long walk in the afternoon in sunny goslar, I appreciated myself outside sitting with a view of the marketplace. apfelstrudel, which I ordered, was delicious and the part was so big that I did not need dinner this day. the service was precise and fast.

On a very cold day in Goslar we called in for something to warm us up. Gluhwein was on the menu so we had to have some and it was excellent. We didnt eat, but the food that others were having looked very inviting.

we had a cappuccino (it was uokay,) hot chocolate that was good. we also tried the pancake with ice and chocolate, it was really tasteful! recommend it primarilly for dessert Réservez une table maintenant

Great spot to grab a bier, enjoy some sun, and people watch in the main square. Gotta love Europe. Friendly service and some workers do speak English....
