I was there today as an individual and, on the order of the head of the house, was assigned a very gigantic cat table, although at that time other places were free and also not reserved. Even sitting at this unattractive table, I constantly felt the pressure, not to stay too long to make room for the next guests. It should be noted that the employees were all very nice. But the boss (or also owner? was really extremely unfriendly and as I appeared very profitable. That's why my conclusion: Despite delicious cakes and great location on the Werra, I won't set foot in there.
In several visits, we have noticed that Mrs L does not care for a very friendly approach to her employees. The more surprising is the most friendly service of the staff. When requesting a larger group, it was presumed that you would block places too long. I'd be interested in how long the patient stay is. Certainly, in our visits, we have been heavily overcrowded, but I would like to say that we are no longer coming.
The milk coffee was okay. The pies, black forests cherry and nut cream, unfortunately not fresh, so thawed. The tortuous floors, though the tortoise was almost complete. I like to pay €4.20 for pastry varieties, only good quality has become rare and also here only mass goods are offered. Too bad. The scent of fresh waffles has attracted us. We didn't try them.
Delicious waffle with “additionals” homemade cakes in a cozy ambience on the first floor. We felt very comfortable. Parking at the Welfenschloss is right around the corner. Beautiful view of the Werra, the bridge and the city.

The café also has outdoor seating almost directly on the Werra. They're naturally hot. The cake was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was beautiful and we would go back and forth.
Beautiful terrace overlooking the river! Friendly staff and delicious food. Good value for money. We had to wait a little until the table was cleaned and prepared, but that was worth it.
I'd just forgive zero stars. We were denied a place in the completely empty place. We were insulted by the boss on demand. It seemed like we didn't want to be here. Unbelievable.
Has everything a café needs: ambience, flair, friendly service and delicious cakes. From the unfriendly boss, we have nothing to do with it and cannot therefore evaluate it

Breakfast nothing special and unfortunately only with inedible pappy baking rolls although there are several bakeries nearby. Unfortunately, this is completely overpriced.
