Wonderful experience at Café Brazil in Carrollton! The food is always delicious and the service is great! Our friendly server, West, was fantastic! I ordered a veggie omelet with spinach, bell pepper, onion, tomato, cheese, and mushrooms. Sooooo good! My omelet came with rosemary potatoes, and I don't think anyone makes rosemary potatoes like Café Brazil! They're perfection. We also ordered the Chorizo Empanada, Sausage Omelet with veggies and crispy, sweet potato fries. Lastly, we ordered a fruit crepe with a drizzle of raspberry and vanilla Anglaise: fresh strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. It was pretty big, so we planned to split it into fourths and share. I loved their chicken tortilla soup for so many years! We went in here on a Friday night around 8pm and there was no one there. Got the soup and it tasted awful! Almost like soap and lemon juice. Huge chunks of veggies and it’s just not the same. Even their rosemary potatoes seemed old and like they had been sitting for a while. Like all day. It’s just gone downhill. Will not go back. So disappointing. The waiter was great. Service was great. Food severely disappointing!
To go order: Super quesadilla was excellent. My coke was small for the price. The red velvet cake was old and more than half the icing on the top was missing which I didn't like after paying $5.99 for! Their cakes used to be really good. It took forever for someone to take my order and the floor was dirty and very sticky.
I can only rate the service since we didnt eat. We sat down, but was never acknowledged by the server. She walked over to our area to service other tables 3 times and never even said HELLO. You would've thought we were invisible. My husband finally said let's go. Won't be back.
