I used to work on nuclear submarines when Chatham Dockyard was a naval base in the 70s and 80s, and I was amazed by the size of the St Marys Island development. I stopped by Cafe Bueno and had the best coffee I've enjoyed in a long time. Although I intended to order a cortado, I couldn't resist trying something called a Dirty Chai instead. It was absolutely delicious and prepared by a delightful barista. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area. Service: 5 stars.
Stopped off the other day, nice outdoor setting that is peaceful. Had a couple of large coffees and a milkshake. Unfortunately the coffee had little flavour and the milkshake slightly warm. Lovely place run by a lovely couple. Great coffee and food. Always a friendly welcome here much more personal than other nearby coffee places. Would recommend to anyone on/near St Mary's Island. Am pleased to support an independent business and wish them all the best

We often take a stroll from the Marina around St. Mary's Island and end our walk with a great coffee at Café Bueno. The service has consistently been friendly. Price per person: £1–10. Service rating: 4/5. Atmosphere rating: 3/5.
Nice place to sit in and lovely atmosphere. The cafe is run by a hard working,well knowledgeable, and friendly lady. The coffee was fresh roasted and tasty. The chocolate brownie was one of the best we tried.
