The food here is consistently fresh, and the menu is extensive with a wide variety of excellent dishes. Their pizza is particularly tasty, and the sandwiches are made with pizza dough bread, adding a unique touch. One of my personal favorites is the chicken roll, which comes in a pizza dough shell filled with chicken, spinach, and garlic, paired with marinara sauce for dipping. The linguini with white clams is among the best you'll find in the area, and the eggplant parmigiano is exceptional as well—it's a healthier option since it's neither breaded nor fried. I’ve been visiting this restaurant for many years, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal.
This Italian restaurant was a major disappointment. The food was not up to standard, and it's clear the management lacks an understanding of Italian cuisine. While I appreciate diversity, it's unusual to find Italian food prepared well by Asians who are unfamiliar with its intricacies. Stick to what you know best! The experience was so unsatisfactory that we couldn't finish our meals and unfortunately vommited afterward. Do not believe any positive reviews as yhet are fake—our experience was far from what was described. It's not worth risking your money or health. I sincerely urge the owners to reconsider their approach before they KILL someone.
Much better than I expected. The website makes it look a lot fancier than it is inside. It's a very old school Italian restaurant design. Wine options are limited, but the Pinor Noir I had was decent. My colleagues got sangria but said it didn't taste of any alcohol although the server assured us there was wine in it. The pizzas were great as were the toasted raviolis appetizer. One of my colleagues got a pasta dish which looked good and she said it tasted good. Portion sizes are pretty big.
I was a professional Maitre d for 28 years of my career. I have dined in hundreds of places over my life and Cafe Classico remains one of my favorite spots for many years. Even changes of (staff/owner? That occurred, the quality and taste of the menu remains 5 STAR all the way. Friendly staff, casual setting, all for the price less than the other options for good food in Scranton! Good Job!

If you are reading thia please DO NOT GO!!! Wort food ever spent $100 of food that was inedible. took 2 bites and set it aside and paid bill and ran out the door. Do not believe all of the good reviews as you will be sorry, after getting back to hotel my wife and i both vomitted violently for an hour or more, I hope this does not happen to anyone else as this was the worst ever!!!
The best I can say is the meals were ok. Friend ordered eggplant parmigiana and could not cut the eggplant. The meal had to be sent back. Veal parmigiana was ok. The veal was overly breaded and on the salty side. On the positive side, there is plenty of parking, friendly staff.
Cafe Classico has a delightful, old-world atmosphere with a large menu, delicious food and great service. We thoroughly enjoyed the Fried Calamari, Linguini White Clam and the Chicken Saltimboca and definitely will return.
Delicious food and excellent service. While the decor may be somewhat outdated, the quality of the food, drinks, service, and prices more than make up for it. Highly recommended!
