We are from NJ and visit friends in WF several times a year. We first ate at this restaurant 2 years ago and made a last minute reservation. We arrived early and sat at the bar and had delicious drinks recommended by the very friendly bartended. My husband and I remember ordering the pernil dinner and sides and the food was delicious. So last night we went back and ordered the same. The drinks were very good. We started with the bacalaito appetizer and all 4 of us shared it. While it was tasty, it was also overly greasy. Absolutely amazing! We loved everything about the food; it was all delicious! The portions were generous, and you could tell the food was cooked with love. Our waitress, Samantha, was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The flavors in every dish were spectacular. The ambiance really added to the experience (even the bathroom was nice!). Although we couldn't finish our meals, we couldn't resist having dessert, especially knowing how great the food tasted, and we were not disappointed. We will definitely be back, and I'm already recommending this place to all my friends.
I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. My friend drove an hour to join me for lunch, and the service was terrible. We both ordered extra meals to take home, but when my friend got home, she sent me a picture of the severely burned bread that accompanied her pernil sandwich. This is unacceptable. Who was even in the kitchen to think this was acceptable to serve?
Great place for Puerto Rican cuisine. We sat at the bar because the place was very busy. We had excellent service and the food was delicious with generous servings. As we were leaving the owner came out of the kitchen to thank us! Wonderful place to celebrate your family/friends' gatherings. The portions are generous in the Latino tradition, and they accommodate your requests. We ordered a pernil sandwich to take home, which took about 25 minutes to come out of the kitchen. After driving an hour home, I opened the sandwich to heat it up, only to find that it was completely burnt on both sides (see the picture). This is completely unacceptable.
