After some sights in the castle of Drachenburg and exploring the city of Königswinter we sat in this small café, as it looked best and most comfortable. There are many cakes, pastries and waffles to choose and a variety of hot and cold drinks (coffee, juices, soft drinks, wine and so on). We had coffee and waffles with hot cherries and cream. The waffles were delicious and the coffee was also great. The staff was very friendly during our visit, even if they had a lot of work. All in all, I can visit this place for all those who stay in Königswinter to have a break and enjoy the offers of this café.
We kwamen hier met een groepje een lichte lunch nemen. De zaakvoerster is vriendelijk en efficiënt, maar de dienster was dat helaas niet. Tien minuten nadat de meesten hun eten opgediend gekregen hadden, kwam de dienster zeggen dat de schotels die 2 mensen van onze groep besteld hadden niet voorradig waren. Op dat ogenblik waren de meeste andere al klaar met eten. Dat mag gewoon niet gebeuren en als het door omstandigheden toch gebeurt, verontschuldig je je hier 100 maal voor en geef je een korting. Onbehoorlijk !
I thought here was a light bite before I visited the amazing Dragon Mountain Castle and it was perfect for a qukck bite. The bakery has a selection of fresh bread and cakes and I chose a mini pizza that was quite delicious. I also enjoyed a fine ear gray tea and found the staff very friendly and helpful to be. I recommend for those looking for a quick snack.
Wo gibt es noch per Hand hergestellte Brötchen, Croissants und Brote? Keine Bachmischungen, sondern eine hervorragende, handwerkliche Qualität.Das Brot "alte Körner" ist lecker und bleibt über Tage frisch - entscheidend ist aber das hier laut Aussage des alten Eigentümers wirklich nur alte Körner verarbeitet werden.

After a visit to Königswinter for coffee and cake. It was a lot of locals in which there is always a good sign. We had cherry and strawberry cakes that were really nice. Children enjoyed their waffles. Good coffee. If you like a beer, they do. The staff is really nice. Relaxing way to spend some time.
Das Puddingteilchen hat toll geschmeckt zum Cappuccino. Die Teeauswahl ist auch gut und die Tortenauswahl auch am Vormttag ist bereits groß. Dazu Zeitung lesen, was will man mehr. Und dazu kommen die günstigen Preise. Ein Cafe der alten Art... gemütlich zum Klönen und Lesen.
This is a typical German café in old style! Nice to go in and smell coffee, eat cake and listen to locals. Staff/owners very nice and friendly. Coffee, tea and cake were all very good. Quirky; the toilets reached by the farm (total garden area). They could be cold in winter!
Because of reviews we did visit Cafe Dix but on a rainy day. A friendly welcome, a good cappuccino and delicious fruitcakes. It is a small lunchroom and bakery, during our visit just locals. Worth a visit.

This is a perfect little place for a snack or some yummy cake. The staff are so friendly and the cafe is very cosy.
