I completely agree with the review someone else had written abotu the service being cold and pretentious. We had the exact same experience. Went in on a Saturday afternoon for coffee and cakes, and were met with a very frosty welcome, a lady who basically...laughed down her nose at me when we didnt realise that you have to go up to order cakes, as we had assumed there would be a menu and then a very long wait on an average coffe. I would have marked this place with 1 5 if it wasn't for the fact that the cakes are quite yummy. Since then if we ever want their cakes we always take away which is a shame. A remarkable range of cakes and chocolates, also the breakfast somehow fits, nothing unusual, a few slices of toast bread with jam, butter, fried eggs optionally with ham or bacon for 6 euros, since there is nothing to complain except for the whs cage. But the space concept in the OG above is cruel. Basic colors brown, red, black and more brown. Especially this ranty brown office carpet.. Yes, the acoustics there is bad, but needle felt with entered gum is also not the solution for everything, for that there are ceiling sails and decorative sound traps for the wall, partitions etc. The selected furniture and design elements in the uncomfortable pantry act as if a suicidal interior architect...
we sat outside, the tables are on a place that has a great atmosphere. the sun seemed and large sunshades donated shadow. the personal spoke perfectly English and was very helpful and pleasant. there was a selection of beers, among them the turbulent large that recommended the waitress. we had a very good taste. I had augsburger wurst with kartoffel salad. the service was fast, the beer came within a few minutes and the food was short. the price was appropriate with 22 pfuss for two meals and two drinks. in the inner was a large selection of tempting cakes. I saw people eating big ice cups. toilets are in the first floor. very clean.
These people welcomed us with coldness, would not take even a moment to acknowledge us. We asked a waitress to assist us, she told us to ask someone else...then drifted to the window to cross her arms and gaze outside. She couldn't even take a...moment to help, or introduce us to any help ...basically ignored. Meantime bling wearing, real fur people just pushed us aside and got prompt attention. Recommend a move on for this place unless you wear fur and bling....there are many places to choose from...make another option where they appreciate your hard earned monies/earn your business....

breakfast at the Town Hall Square:The breakfast menu is in order. nothing exciting. the service, however, lowermost level.Ordering can only be done with the service that is assigned to my table. that means for me as a customer. the table next door is cleared, I have not yet ordered / two conditions chat between all tables, I have not yet ordered....I wanted to cook my boiled ice soft, "This is not going to cook all eggs together" !?
the big caffe is located directly at the Rathausplatz, in the ground floor is the (small) konditorei, in the 1st floor the caffe. If you get one of the coveted places directly on the window, you have the perfect view of the square, the rat house and the perlach tower as well as - at least in the advent period - the lights of the Christmas market. the order runs a little complicated: drinks ordered at the waitress while you get cake
at our last visit we noticed a male waiter negatiw. he has a dame adored because she was supposed to be in the way. I also had to have an intensive discussion with the same waiter, because he did not want to take care of the rest of a baby food in the kitchen. in my opinion, at cafe eber the personal selection should be more careful to avoid such situations. we are very disappointed!
nice caffe directly at the main square in the city center of augsburg. they can take their coffee and sit on the square or sit inside or outside the restaurant. large selection of coffee products. good cake.

Service is very bad. The staff are cold and not friendly at all can be passed as rude. The staff attending never informed us that the cake has alcohol. the coffee was average.
Enjoyed a super iced coffee on the plaza, just what we needed! Great service too.
