we went to this restaurant due to a good rating to google and it claims to serve authentic Swiss cuisine. when we had made the order, the waiter had told us that they had served freshly prepared food, so that it could take some time to get the food, and we said ok, as it is already 8 o'clock and we didn't want to go around to search for place. but at 9 o'clock our little girl was very hungry so we hunted for eating. the waiter told us that he told us that eating could take some time and was told that the just order for a big group then there were more 2 groups before they could serve us. we wanted to cancel and leave the restaurant, but he did not say how our food was prepared and he is frie...
the restaurant nr. 1 in Interlaken!WOW- what a wonderful surprise! the bistro ambience deceives...that was simply excellent and no comparison to other restaurants in interlaken! we haven't experienced such good, fresh food in a restaurant for a long time and such a warm hospitality and accommodating service. the restaurant convinces with the best, typical Swiss dishes from fresh products from local partners (e.g. the metzgerei nextdran). we can recommend this great restaurant to everyone!
My friend ordered a glass of orange juice and only received half a glass of it for CHF 5.3! We asked for free tap water (which is a common practice in Paris) and got rejected. It was two of us, so we were arranged to sit in a small table for two people, whilst other groups of two received bigger tables for four. Just because in the end the waiter/owner asked for a good review, doesn't mean that we will necessarily give great reviews.
My family of 4 came for dinner. We tried all 3 soups, the best was the mushroom soup, and the bouillon was a touch too salty for us. As mains, The mac and cheese wasn't too bad and the pork Cordon Bleu was good. But what was excellent were the roasted chicken and veal in mushroom sauce. Very good service as well. Only thing is that they don't serve tap water here. Overall excellent and would come back again.

we love this place! the terrace at the back was romantic at sunset, with beautiful mountain views. the food was delicious (we had the mixed salat, fondue and apple cake), and our host was thoughtful and friendly. He was helpful, but didn't come to us as we enjoyed them at night. a great last night in interlaken.
Cafe Gleis 3 is an unassuming typical cafe restaurant but food is of high quality in terms of taste, ingredients and presentation. The Swiss menu can rival that of any high-end traditional Swiss restaurant but reasonably-priced. I definitely recommend this place and come back when in Interlaken.
inconspicuous external, but eating and service were top! hearty service and freshly made typical swiss food with awareness for regional and seasonal products (meat from the seagoing close etc what a beautiful surprise and highly recommended! absolutely fair prices. happy again, thanks retshy
Service was great, offered recommendations, and the food was delicious! Portions were fair and high quality ingredients. Great stop for Swiss food in Interlaken.
