Café Im Da, Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst

Whether as a cultural focus, as a culinary oasis or as a simple café, the former Cistercian monastery Gravenhorst is a special destination in this region. Of course there are good coffee, cakes and other treats at a small price in this unique environment. My almost unusable apple cake with cream and a cup of coffee was so delicious that it was again 2 pieces of apple cake. As always, I look for the “complete” apple cake. Here he was already very good, but finally the idea of “complete” is very subjective. The whole series of these monasteries in culinary and cultural things, even to imagine, would certainly inflate this platform; I therefore recommend to all interested parties the excellent website of the monastery. A few short examples: breakfast buffet, special buffets – span. Tapas, Westfalen Tapas etc. An apple festival (in planning) Art exhibitions, film screenings, e.g. about Vincent van Gogh Projects on Sound and Music and much more And last but not least, the monastery itself is in its interior, with all annexes within and outside of a work of art. Many works of contemporary artists are exhibited on the grounds between the centuries-old testimonies of former artists and craftsmen. This can quickly become a full daily program. ...
