Cafe Italia - Réserver une table

This wasn't our first visit, but something felt off this time. I ordered a Caesar salad, which surprisingly had no anchovies, while the table next to us had plenty on theirs. It also barely had any dressing, making it feel like I was just eating plain lettuce. We ordered two calamari sticks; one was full, while the other was only two-thirds full. Additionally, one of the marinara sauce containers was only half full. It just seemed strange. I found myself wondering if this was because we didn't order a full entree. The entertainment was great and the servers were lovely, the food however, was horrendous!! I am a HUGE fan of Italian food and was really excited to go to this place, but the food fell worse than flat. Absolutely no flavour to any of our meals party of 4 , sauces were watery and bland and the marinara for the chicken tasted like it was from a can of tomato sauce with no seasoning. The best part of the meal was the wine and the ice cream. Neither of them made on site which was to our advantage. We mentioned the terrible food to the waitress and she thought we were joking, but nothing was addressed and nothing taken off the bill. Very disappointed. Have been here before and enjoyed it very much. Last night we chose to celebrate our 55th anniversary along with 2 other couples. One of the couples was celebrating 61 yrs. I mentioned the special occasion to Courtney when I made the reservation. She said to be sure and mention it to our waiter which we did. Courtney mentioned they would sing special songs and maybe a dessert. The singing was minimal and the singers projection poor. Our waiter was the better part of the evening. Food is mediocre. Won't be back.

On the plus side, the service was welcoming and friendly, though it was a bit slow, especially considering the low number of customers. The gnocchi were quite good, and the chicken parmesan was passable. The singing waitresses added an interesting flair and made the experience unique. Overall, it was a decent meal, but not extraordinary.

Fantastic food and service! The atmosphere was incredible. It's definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Indian Wells. We filled the restaurant with participants from the women's council, and the staff treated us like professionals!
