My group arrived shortly before 6 pm on the weekend. Much too early for the typical dinnertime in France but my toddler twins were losing their minds due to hunger (they eat and go to bed very early. I have no idea what kind of schedule the French keep with very young children given the typical 7:30 pm dinner service at restaurants. The waiter that served us was very accommodating and immediately brought some chips/crackers to placate the children. It worked. The waiter only spoke French but with my poor French language skills we still managed to communicate and he patiently explained what kémias ' is as I was not familiar with it (hint think tapas. It 's great stuff . It was stressful trying to placate two grumpy children (and other tired travelers in my group and try to speak French and order for everyone but I still felt very welcomed by the waiter. We all thought the food was great. I just wished it could have been a more relaxed visit. I would have loved to come back during the week when the full menu was in place.

We were trying to get a meal in that French deadtime between 18:00 and 19:00 and were turned away by a number of restaurants, then found this one serving food (we had a train to catch). As my wife is vegetarian, very allergic to mustard (its in almost everything) and gluten free this can get complicated. However the husband and wife team who run this restaurant went out of their way to be helpful and we had a very pleasant meal. Its mostly Lebanese tapas and all their suggestions were delicious. If we ever get back to Narbonne we will visit again. We also liked their choice of 50s rockabilly music

I visited this cafe several year’s ago for coffee but yesterday our favorite restaurant was closed so we had lunch here. What a surprise- inside it is cosy the waiters are traditionally dressed. Very unusual for France. The staff are very pleasant the food was different from the usual menus. Only one salad on the menu but when we told the waitress that we would prefer a selection she said she would see what she can do for our next visit. We will certainly return.

I had previously been here twice before for a drink. The waitress is really friendly and I thought I would have lunch. Unfortunately the meat was uncooked in parts which spoilt my enjoyment. As it was a sunny day I ordered ice cream for dessert. Just one tiny scoop for 2 euros 50!! Great location.. Shame about the food.
