We chose to sit outside when the server eventually showed up with the menus. We waited 15-20 minutes for poor quality food. We ordered the cucumber salad, fish (seelach fillet with potatoes and salad and chicken breast with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. About 10 slices of cucumbers (cost of 4€ were old and soggy. The sauce for the fish was extremely salty. The chicken was microwaved and dry with old soggy tomatoes. When we finally saw the waiter we informed him about the bad food, his reply was that we should tell him before we ate. If he had checked back with us after giving us the food, we would have told him. Salads were supposed to be included with the meal, which we did not receive.
This little cafe is tucked away in the downtown streets of Ansbach. The outdoor patio is quaint and off the beaten path. Service was really good albeit a little slow. I tried their dry house white wine and it was very good. I ordered the cordon bleu schnitzel. It came with a salad and was largely portioned for the price. I really liked the dressing on the salad. I also appreciated the seasoning on the fries. The restaurant also provided a lime and it complimented the schnitzel very well. Overall, this was a nice dining experience and I can definitely see myself returning.
8/29/2015 Had lunch here today (29 August). Waitress spoke English and they had an English menu both big pluses for this American visiting. I was looking for good Jäger schnitzel and I found it. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy our meal. I was in no hurry and stayed to enjoy the atmosphere. I would eat here again.
It is a small restaurant in the city centre that really welcomes you and makes you feel at home, prices are fare and portions plentiful. The menu offers typical regional dishes to warm you up in the cold Bavarian winter and the best way to start is taking one of their fantastic soup!

In the courtyard you can sit well protected. The food is plentiful and tasty. The services were very nice and accommodating. We'll be happy to come back.
Eat drunks, just good. Too bad it doesn't always exist. Operation friendly. Even the salad is very good. Price performance quality very fair.
