it's rare to find decent cafes in Frankfurt, so it was nice to stumble across this place which is only a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cafe is nice and small, which gives it a busy feeling. There are a variety of table sizes that you can choose from also. The menu is a bit difficult for those who don't speak German, but I was lucky enough to order a salad and it was delicious!! However, can someone please turn on the lights? I understand that they want to create an ambiance but it was almost pitch black in there.

Some of the staff are so inexperienced and have no idea at all how to treat customers. I asked to be served and was told off in a School like manner that I would have to wait. When I complained, they said, you do not have to eat here.....will not be back and have shared this experience with family and friends who used to frequent this place. My advice, cheaper and better service in Berger Strasse or even on the Zeil...!!!

I absolutely adored Café Main gold's brunch. It was not only delicious but also a piece of art. Probably, I was lucky because of the fruit that was on season but the bread, the homemade cheese spread, and oh!, the müsli was an absolute bliss. I totally recommend their brunch because it must be one of the best around town.

If you want to have a delicious food with authentic, high quality and organic ingredients this is your place. This is also a typical german pay-only-with-cash restaurant and service is truly friendly. It's a jewel reserved for locals but if you know enough German to order your food you are good to go. The place is really beautiful and the food and coffee awesome. The staff very polite and helpful The two negatives issues are that there is no catalogue in English and they don’t accept foreign credit cards.

The brunch here is ok, bread, eggs, cheese and ham. They don’t accept foreign cards and it is often very difficult to get a seat. Also, they don’t have English menus.

We went to Maingold for a Brunch and were really surprised and satisfied about everything : the team is really nice and the fois is delicious ! We recommend !!!

We come here from time to time as it has a nice garden. The food is very good, although really pricey. The service was always extremely slow. Réservez une table maintenant

Great place, please note that reservation is highly recommended! They are swamped. However very good pancakes and good coffee.
