From the outside, with its terrace, it looks just like any other Cafe in the country but once one enters the main lounge, it is hard to image that we are not in 1958... Furniture, lights, colours, everything exactly as it would look them but superbly restored and well kept. The fabrics are, naturally, modern but the effect is as perfect as to make one wonders how is it done. Cakes are good too and service is friendly and efficient. Central, large, easy place to stop between visits to the lovely churches in town or just to the shops

Great cakes and cake selection, as well as ice cream and piquant dishes in the selection. (I think there is a good choice for every day) The ambience inside is very vintage, outside is possible almost at any time of the year and you can let your kids go to the water playground in summer. Often, a lot is going on and it took us a lot more long before we were served.

After 20 minutes waiting, we moved on. In time, the 2 service personnel have not looked at us. Despite repeated signs, no reaction. Will this become a standard with us slowly but surely? Overall, about 25 people were sitting at 9 tables in the outdoor area. It's just too much for two services.
This place manages to be both originally old fashioned and cool. We had a few cakes, and were genuinely impressed by the nice service and the owner's grand gesture of giving us a free cream roll to try. Very nice experience.

Went here several times a week for coffee and studying. Great cake and small meals. Lovely atmosphere. Has milk alternatives. Never visit Schwäbisch Gmünd without going here
old and traditional caffe near the center of Swabian gmünd. large selection of homemade cakes. service was friendly and fast. nice to sit outside in summer.
