Someone else described this cafe style eaterie as their second living room and I can see easily why. The menu offers a sortment of interesting dishes, especially the flamkuchen a type of thin pizza looked delicious and so did the burgers and salads. The decor...is modern and the Christmas decoration was very Christmassy, I felt straight away welcomed here. The waitresses are quick and friendly and seem to know everyone by their name. I loved my tea served with hot milk aside and cristalized sugar. My partner loved his Irish coffe although I thought that the whipped cream was wrong. There was totally no structure in serving. Once seated (which took way too long) 3 different waiters in 3 minutes came asking if we were ready to order. After we ordered, two other waiters came asking again if we would like to order. My wife ordered a salad, but it was so dripping in dressing it did not taste good. My burger was so covered in sauce that it could not be eaten as it should be because it was soaked. My kids had a pizza, which looked fine, so let's give that extra star for that. Finally payment. Once again did this watering hole in the middle of Hildens shopping street delight us with their food . I ordered the Mediterranean flamkuchen, a type of thin pizza, and my sister had the bacon pancake. Both we’re excellent and the portion size massive. The...pancake came with a mixed salad with a delicious cream dressing. I had a loose leaf tea which hit the spot and my sister had a cafe latte , which looked a bit too milky to my , but hey it’s called cafe latte for a reason. The ambience is wonderfully Christmassy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended.
We were on a hospital visit in Hilden and did not know the city. So I used tripadvisor to get a tip to have a place for breakfast and went to Cafe New York. The breakfast is a open buffet and great. The waitress is...also the owner of the place is really nice. A positively suprise for breakfast!
