Cafe Restaurant Johannisberg

When I was a kid,I remember going up to the cafe and in the wintertime we kids hat a ball with our sleds racing down the hill.I grow up in Bad Nauheim and my parents and I walked up to the Johannisberg cafe on Sunday's and hat coffee,cake and ice cream.Now this was a treat maybe once a year.Sitting outside in the garden,having a cold beer or Glass of wine In the summertime with a view of miles. You see the city of Friedberg on the right side,Bad Nauheim beneath you and Villages in the Wetterau for miles,on clear day you can even see as far as Bad Homburg.The Johannisberg cafe is known for the home baked cakes,Tortes and more.If you visit Bad Nauheim it is worth to have coffee and a slice of chocolate Torte on a sunny afternoon outside under an old tree.

The food was ok (I chose schnitzel) though perhaps a bit over priced for what came out. However the view over Bad Nauheim was impressive. A bit empty on a Wednesday evening though professional, if somewhat clinical, service.

Very nice as inside, so also the terrace with the charming view over the city and surroundings. Fine kitchen with accommodating staff. Come again and again, it's really a very special place.
