To me, this is the cosiest cafe in Europe. You can't define nor rate coziness if you haven't experienced this first. It brings you back to the old days, when things seem to have been done... with time. The quality of its pastries is a proof of things done with extraordinary passion, hence, care. And the friendliness of its staff a proof of how hospitality is gene determined; a gene I lack but others own in abundance, such as the staff of this place. I still can't believe somebody wrote they were unfriendly. Impossible. Believe me. Above all that, the cafe has the most inspiring collection of old coffee grinders ever! Every one of them will bring you back in time, all together, neatly displayed throughout the place, they'll make you feel warm, welcome, at home. Highly needed in Daun because although it does have some charm, charisma and charm is not abundant in Daun. Therefore it's a must if you visit this town. In fact you should visit Daun in order to go to Cafe Schuler. I love the linzensoep and ALL the pastries especially the apple strudel with vanilla sauce.Enjoy!!!
