Even though the dining room is closed right now, the service from the staff is excellent as always and the food I ordered today was fantastic. I had a fairly complicated order and they got everything 100% correct. My food was delicious and piping hot. I called my order in, paid for it with a credit card and 15 minutes later picked it up at the West window. There are a lot of new Mexican restaurants in the area but I will always go to Sylvestre's when I want excellent authentic Mexican food that is served lightning fast and where the staff goes out of their way to make me feel comfortable and valued.
Despite Yelp indicating that this restaurant is closed, it is actually open, albeit with limited hours. Customers can place orders by calling ahead, and the establishment offers contactless payment and pickup only. The seating area is not available, and orders cannot be made at the walk-up window; you must call 801-972-5582 to place your order. The hours of operation are from 11 AM to 8 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 11 AM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday; and 11 AM to 7 PM on Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.

This place is fantastic! The customer service is outstanding, and the ice cream is delicious! We arrived at 10 PM, and although the open sign was still lit, the lights were off. We rang the service bell just to inquire, and the staff came out to inform us that they were actually closed. However, they kindly offered to make us some ice cream since the open sign was still on, without us even asking! They were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The ice cream was absolutely amazing! This is the view from the outside. It looked very sketchy and it shares an adjacent parking lot with the hotel. There was a man walking around the parking lot so we couldn't leave our car. From the outside view alone, I'm giving this place 2 stars. It was scary, empty parking lot with exception of two cars in photo. Tip: And there are sketchy people walking around the shared parking lot so don't go at night or alone. Unless your BATMAN! Then you should be fine.
Came to order ice cream. Went to the window to order and they said to call. They picked up the phone and kept it off the hook. The reason we know this is we went back to the window and the lady says we don't answer cause we are busy. So we tried calling again. When they finally answered the woman placed me on hold for 7 minutes then picked the phone up and hung up. Would never go to this place again! Not even one star!
When we dropped by late in the evening, we had concern that it was not actually open, however, as there was no one in the food-prep area. We waited, decided our order, and waited some more. Then, we pulled out the mobile devices and began looking somewhere else to have dessert. We had just decided on an alternative when someone finally showed up and took our order.
Its so amazing! Me and my family went before and during COVID-19! It was very clean inside! If your looking for a creamy ice cream that is the place for you!
