3 rd visit to this restaurant with the current owners. Both previous times very good attentive service and excellent food. However on this occasion although food excellent as always the service was far worse . Restaurant was very busy with a one large party. Order was taken promptly and although there was a longer wait for food I could understand that. However after the plates were cleared I was expecting to be offered face wipes not offered! Popped in on the off chance we could get a table given it was around 8pm on a Saturday and luckily there was one available even though the restaurant looked busy. We kicked off with a couple of poppadom with the usual onions and dips along side a glass of draft Cobra. They were fine but could have been a little crispier. For mains, it was roasted red chilli karahi chicken for the wife and the Indian Railway cabin chicken for me with us sharing a mushroom pilau rice and a sag aloo bhajee. side. This is the second time I've taken my friend and his wife to tamarinds on high appraisal from myself only to be let down again we opted for the three courses Monday and Tuesday special. Last time I took him there he had lamb which was tough this time my girlfriend had tikka massala but had lots of dedicated coconut in very bitty and not like before I had madras as usual which wasn't that spicy this time around my friend tried the railway curry which was no different to mine in colour and consistency I had this at the Delhi in Solihull it should have a green tinge to it due to the ingredients they should have used. We recently dined at the newly renovated 'Tamarinds' restaurant and were extremely pleased with the transformation. The restaurant has been modernized while still maintaining its excellent service and high-quality food. Kudos to the manager, staff, and chefs for achieving this. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this as a gem in Balsall.

Excellent place, been 3 times now and have been impressed every time. I definitely recommend the lamb chilli karahi and the prawn madras for those who like a bit of a kick! The staff are very friendly and brought out a free ice cream for the little one, even though he said he was full (he wasn’t).
We had a large group of 20 people and the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family. The restaurant has a newly decorated interior and looks beautiful.
Brilliant place! Food is outstanding, service also excellent. The lamb biryani was fantastic. We had a great evening here and will certainly be going back. Would recommend!
Went tonight Saturday 23th August 2024 , sorry to noisy to dark inside, food was lovely tasty and flavourfull , service was too quick didn't you time to dwell ..
