my neighbor bought tamales here last xmas and they were great! 2 weeks ago i went there to buy some tamales! i was talking to the older woman and asked if they make 'chile verde burittros '! she gave me a sample of it with chunks of meat in a chile verde sauce!! man, it was great! i used to live in pico rivera back in the 70 's and 80 's and there was this place that made the best flavorfull chile verde burittos! i 've lived in san gabriel since 1993 and would go to pico rivera for their chile verde buritos! well around 5 years ago that place has new owners and they don 't serve burittos! since then i 've been serching for a good spicy flavorfull chile verde buritto! and i found it at your p...

Café Tizón is a hidden jewel in ElMonte. My favorite dish is costillas de chile verde with nopales . I like the chile rellenos and of course the tamales with champurrado. It is family owned. Grandma Coco is the main cook. She cooks so delicious so is Mary and Carmen. When the owner cooks you know that the food will be so delicious with home made corn tortillas. I truly recommend Cafe Tizón and great service.

The menudo and pozole were really good. Tasted authentic and not store bought. There agua frescas were good as well. I'm definitely coming back if I'm in the area. Excellent. I think it's run by 3 generations of Mexican women. First time I was picking up 3 dozen tamales based on a Yelp recommendation the senior lady told the youngest one to serve me a green chili and a red pork tamale. Excellent. Réservez une table maintenant

THE TAMALES ARE OK. A BIT DRY N NOT THAT MUCH SAUCE. I GOT 7 TAMALES AND A CHAMPURRADO FOR $26. I FEEL OVER PRICED. I'D PREFER TO STAY AT MARIAS BAKERY. REALLY MOIST N FULL OF MEAT FOR ALMOST HALF THE PRICE.
