The pasta portion was generous, and the meat sauce was well-prepared. On the downside, it came with only a tiny slice of French bread that was about half an inch thick. It would be better if they either served 2-3 slices or offered a larger piece, like Texas Toast. Additionally, they didn't offer any Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes to enhance the dish. I ordered a cold beer, which came chilled with a salt rim. I requested it plain, without salt or lime. However, I found the beer prices to be excessive; no bottle should cost more than $3, especially at this restaurant. On a positive note, the waitress was attentive, polite, and friendly. It seems, though, that this location is not own...
My husband ordered the Italian Spicy Arrabbiata with chicken, which came with spaghetti and a roll for $14. Unfortunately, we found it to be quite overpriced for the quality. I had the catfish with fries and broccoli, but the catfish was drenched in oil, and the broccoli was unpleasantly crunchy with their "secret" spices. Both the fries and roll were also too oily. My husband managed to finish his pricey dish, but I only managed to eat the broccoli and a few bites of the fish. I wish I had taken a photo of our meals. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
Found this little gem simply because I was to tired to cook breakfast at the campsite this morning ... all I can say is, I AM SOOOO GLAD I WAS TOO TIRED TO COOK BREAKFAST!!!!! The food was INCREDIBLE! I don 't know what magical ingredients go into their pancake batter but to call them HEAVENLY would be an understatement! Biscuits were moist! Coffee had just the right amount of kick! Waffles, eggs and bacon were equally yummy! And the service was WONDERFUL ... helpful and friendly. If you 're ever out 29 in Burnet ... Stop in for a bite, promise you 'll be glad you did!
Fantastic food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. The kindness shown here is top-notch and the prices are very affordable. Most of the desserts are homemade and absolutely amazing! I can confidently say that the carrot cake is the best I've ever had during my many years of traveling and tasting this dish. We also loved the gift shop, which features many great Texas-themed items. From now on, we will make this place a regular stop and highly recommend Cafe Twenty Three Hundred to everyone! We discovered this place by chance, and we're so glad we did! The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are fantastic. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a fun experience, especially with the great views outside. The menu is one of the best I've ever come across, and it's definitely family-friendly. This place feels like the best-kept secret!
This was our first time eating here, and we were thrilled that we decided to stop by. The food and service were excellent, and the owner was very friendly. This is definitely my go-to spot from now on. Don't miss out on trying the roasted asparagus; they are fantastic! Beer and wine are also available.
