Unfriendly staff, you get angry while sneaking the aqueous coffee. The rear, very open space is seemingly private; this is not signposted or the like and looks like a room for more guests. That this is private, after only a glance in the room, we were told very spooky and disrespectful by the staff; the same thing happened to another group, and the staff's patty behavior, as we did, was very shocked. The interior is absolutely not suitable for the Völklinger Hütte, instead of a scene café, expects a cheap plastic seating in cool colors. Flammkuchen war ganz ok. Einer von dreien nicht ganz fertig gebacken. 40 Euro für drei Stück plus Getränke eher teuer. Bedienung sehr unaufmerksam und unfreundlich. Ignorierte mehrere Bitten zahlen zu dürfen und diskutierte statt dessen mit Kollegin. Kein Abstand halten, keine Maske, leckt Finger beim Umblättern des Bestellblocks. Tarte flambée was ok. One out of three not fully baked. 40 euros for three pieces plus drinks rather expensive. Service very inattentive and unfriendly. Ignored several requests to be allowed to pay and instead discussed with a colleague. No keeping your distance, no mask, licking fingers when turning the order pad.
A rollover does not exist anymore. The legendary place, known in close and far, now has the glorious name Bistro, in hip writing. There has been a great deal of effort in the world cultural heritage to find a new name for Dr. Beil (Ironie AnAus) Umroller was cult. But also Bistro and Biergarten do NOT exist anymore. And it also doesn't make the impression as if something was launched in the near future in terms of gastronomy. What an unding is for a world heritage and a sad state.
The museum café is located in a former factory building. The design is unique, very colorful. A little 70s. So a beautiful contrast to the industry ambience. But it's not really cozy. The room is high and loud. There is no counter or similar. The staff disappears behind a door. The kitchen was only occupied by hours. There was nothing warm to eat. A piece of cake for free because it was so small. The service was on the go. Suitable for a break from world heritage.

Very nice service and classic good, Saarland food. Ambience just as you expect from a part of an industrial ruin: authentic!
Just delicious, saarish food in an urban atmosphere of the Völklinger Hütte. Fair enough. We were positively surprised.
