We had other schnitzels, but that was by far the best traditional calf carving. It was cooked by doing the meat and bread properly with irregular shapes as they traditionally do. The other main courts were also excellent. Ricotta Gnuci was very interesting. Everyone ate everything from their plate, although it was a massive part. Dear desserts and the part for the pancake and Berry Kompott was massive. Perfectly balanced. Will come back.
Walking the streets one night looking at queue after queue of people at other restaurants (I was looking for Austrian fare), I found Cafe Village. The place was nearly empty, so I was concerned to try it. Glad I did… Food was great, variety was...decent, service was friendly, and prices were very reasonable. On the downside, the place was kinda sterile not really and Austrian atmosphere.
Wir sind hungrig eingekehrt und sind wirklich satt geworden. Wir hatten 2 Knoblauchsuppen. Diese waren gut und mit reichlich Knoblauch gekocht. Desweiteren wurde mein Sonderwunsch - nur Gemüse - sofort umgesetzt. Auch wenn es nicht auf der Karte stand. Insgesamt war die Bedienung unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend.
I felt like beeing in a province station restaurant. The lady who serviced us was anything, unfriendly, noisy, and did not listen. Food was below expectations, the atmosphere was not nice. Quality of meat and vegetables was poor. St. Anton has much better options. Réservez une table maintenant
