Cafe Yumm! Old Mill District

After seeing this place had several vegan options and was in a convenient location, my husband and I wanted to try it during a weekend in Bend. When we arrived at 8pm, we looked at the menu for several minutes preparing to place an order, when another customer told us they were closed the staff didn't even bother to let us know. The hours on their website said open until 9. We tried again another day and placed a to go order, specifying everything needed to be vegan. My husband ordered a tofu wrap, and later discovered it contained a bunch of chicken in addition to the tofu which was really upsetting, and the meal had to go to waste. I often receive lunch to go from cafe yumm on the river, but have also eaten at their other places in oregon. I enjoy their slightly brownish, nutritional yummy-based yummy sauce quite a bit and will sometimes pick up a glass of it. most of their menus can be made vegan (vegan sub avocado). I have tried their non-Bowl / Wrap options (zb Bento box), but found them missing from their fixed standard options.

from now on this restaurant is only for the departure. the menus offer a large selection of products that can be made easily vegan; from dishes, burritos, to salads. pro tipp: make sure that they tell the casser to make every dish vegan and they get extra avocado without an open price.

I had no high hopes, but the tofu and tempo make a lot of menu items vegan friendly. not bad for fast eating!
