This place is such a hidden gem. There are a bunch of delicious and healthy options available and the ingredients are always fresh. The pick 2 combo allows you to choose any two items from their menu and you get a perfectly satisfying (but not overly filling) lunch or dinner portion. I 'm a huge fan of their Red pepper and lobster bisque. A couple more notable things. You get a chocolate covered strawberry with your meal which is a delightful little desert that 's not so decadent that you feel regret over having it. Additionally, the tables are usually clean. I can 't tell you how much it bothers me when I walk into a restaurant with open seating and the tables are all filthy; so it 's nice...
First the staff was really friendly and the food was great. Two of us went and got a late night dinner. The guy offered some great suggestions and was overall really happy. However the location is really really run down. It's clear that the franchise owner or corporate really has neglected basic upkeep. A clearly broken table is laying in a corner in pieces, the soda machine is a total disaster with leaks, buildup on the sides, and the list goes on. I'm surprised the health department has allowed them to keep that soda machine in service. That service area is in need of some serious repairs.
The bacon avocado on wheat was well proportioned. The tomato basil soup was a little sweet for our liking but would be delicious on a meatball sub. The chicken pesto on white bread was a little disappointing. The sauce is a cream based and just wasn?t what I was expecting. The green Chile potato soup was really good, except for the tortilla strips. I asked for a little and gave a normal portion. For me they took away some of the flavor. The crème brûlée was the best thing of the day.
Ordered a large salad, it was small, I asked for extra cheese, there wasn?t, strawberries were mushy but the taste overall was good, dressing was good and gave plenty of it. I was disappointed in the salad and the lack of ingredients. It came with a roll which was unexpected. I paid 25 for this salad to be delivered and it was skimpy. Wish I had a photo. May or may not try another another menu item.
