The restaurant offers a good selection of coffee and cake, and the staff are efficient and friendly. However, the cafe's reputation as a dog-friendly establishment is being taken advantage of. On one particular day last week, there were five dogs inside, with one even sitting on a seat. A patron with two dogs brought their drinking bowl to the counter for a water refill. The staff do not seem to prioritize hygiene enough in my opinion. I have nothing against dogs, but I believe that allowing one dog per customer and requiring them to remain on the floor is a more reasonable compromise.
Cafe Nero is a chain coffee shop. We always use this chain as they allow dogs where none of the other chains do! The difference with this Cafe Nero is the attitude of their staff. We have used this location ever since it opened a few years ago and during that time there have been quite a few staff changes. However of the perhaps 20 different staff who have served us over that period they all have one thing in common. No matter how many times I request my mochas to be extra hot, I consistently receive one that is not even close to being hot. I will not be returning to this restaurant, which is disappointing because Caffe Nero makes the best mochas. I always receive a properly hot drink at the Cobham and Kingston branches, but I'm not sure why there is an issue at the Esher location.
Came in Sunday 4:45pm cleaning. Moving chairs tables very unpleasant close 5:30pm nice quiet experience booo. Not hAppy service excellent why spoil it ? Now unpacking rolls etc from fridge? What if customer walks in wants one? Now 5:10pm. Rude think service and atmosphere go hand in hand? Réservez une table maintenant
The service at this restaurant is excellent, as well as the menu and items offered. In addition, the air conditioning is excellent, which is especially appreciated in the heat of the summer. It is a comfortable and great place to stop for breakfast for a family of six.
