I pass by this place all the time. We’ve all seen the lil social media videos but I never see anybody in there and now I see why. So I’m gonna give the real review so we can finally set the record straight lol. It Don’t even smell like chicken when you walk in or ever nearby. That was the first red flag. Service was fine. I got a 3 piece for about $10. The fries were hot and fresh. The chicken? Was not fresh at all. I can say it was juicy. I can say it was seasoned. But Visually you can tell the chicken isn’t fresh. Chicken gets dark under the breading when you keep re-frying it or when it’s sat under the lamp for so long and that’s exactly how this chicken looks. You can also taste that it’...
This restaurant has fantastic gumbo, but the process can be quite frustrating. I went in on Thursday morning and was told I had to wait until Friday or Saturday to eat it. When I returned on Friday, they said I needed to wait until after 3 PM. After calling at that time, I was informed I would have to wait an additional 2 hours. I ended up waiting 3 hours, but when I returned, I was told they weren't serving gumbo that day. Also, while the prices for the gumbo make sense given its quality, they are still quite high.
They are great at providing excellent customer service. The food is always cooked to perfection in whatever way I make my request and is ready for pick up when I arrive. The Asian woman is always so very accommodating and knows me so well. She always says hi (my son's name) mom.
