Caledonia - Réservation de table

Visited the Caledonia yesterday for an early evening meal. The pub has recently changed hands and the new owners seem keen to keep up, if not better the excellent standard the pub is noted for. It’s a traditional setting and feels warm and cosy, all...the staff are polite and helpful and the bar is well stocked with plenty of wines and spirits to suit most tastes. I’m a real ale drinker and was pleased to find Robinsons ‘Trooper’ on the pump so had a couple of those. The beer was in lovely condition which indicates a well kept cellar. There is also Robinsons Unicorn on pump as well as Smooth, lagers, Strongbow and Darkfruits to tickle your taste buds Over to the food! Well what can I say, it...

The Caledonia is now under new ownership and the landlord Brad and his partner Zoe are a super welcoming and hardworking couple! In their first few months of opening, they have already been upgraded and awarded a Star hygiene rating! Plus a Casque Mark...of excellence for their cellar and beers! They serve proper home-cooked tasty meals the rag pudding is my current favorite! They have a wide range of beers, real ale, cider, wines, and all sorts of spirits and a fair selection of tasty gins! We stumbled on the place just before Xmas in the back streets of town. Only planned on a drink but saw home cooked food and just had to have some. We have since been back numerous times both for food and some evenings. The food...is invariably fresh, tasty and enjoyable start to finish. Never a morsel left on our plates.... the evenings after food are quiet but super friendly and worth the effort. Highly recommended.

Lovely pub came here for a few drinks and I didn’t want to leave, the bar man was lovely. Will be returning soon to try the food as it looked lovely ! A great little find for us !

We went for tea to The Caledonia one Wednesday evening and if was very nice. The food is very good and the Staff are very polite and pleasant
