Ordered two salmon dinners to go for $45, including tip. Took a few bites and noticed they were very dry and chewy. Flipped the salmon and they were all completely burnt on the other side! The cook tried to cover up the mistake by flipping it over and smothering it with sauce. The rice was way overcooked and dry too! I was so upset because I worked through a rough 16.5 hour shift that night without any food!I called the restaurant. Manager told me I would be refunded in 2-3 business days. It's been over 4 days and I still have not seen that refund. What happened to this place? Sorry, but you've lost a loyal customer.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but the service can be unpredictable. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover, so you never know what to expect. Sometimes the wait times are long, and the employees at the counter can appear confused. The cleanliness of the tables also varies. However, the food is consistently delicious, and the prices are fair. Overall, a mixed experience but worth it for the excellent food. 5/5 for the food quality.

This is my favorite taco spot in South Orange County. I usually order 2-3 tacos, with my go-to choices being the Swaai fish taco and the broken shrimp taco. The texture and taste are always perfect. The service is always wonderful. I am a big fan of California Fish Grill, and this place is one of my favorites. I really hope they bring back their Taco Tuesday special.
The California Fish Grill is a fantastic seafood restaurant in Lake Forest. The food is tasty and the serving sizes are generous, all at a reasonable price. It can get busy on weekends, but the staff seems to handle it well.
The staff at this restaurant was inattentive, gossiping in the back the whole time. The food quality was disappointing and the to-go order was bagged up without cutlery or napkins. Overall, it was a mess.
Salmon was very dry and portions have changed. I understand times are changing but I counted 5 employees for the 5 customers that were in the restaurant at the time and tables were not cleared.
