Sliced meats veggies are cooked at the table in this fun and interactive dining experience.I had the pleasure of dining at California Shabu Shabu recently and I was blown away by the food and service. The atmosphere is very modern and stylish, with bright colors and fun artwork on the walls. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu.The shabu shabu is the star of the show, and it's definitely worth trying. Shabu Shabu is our special date night meal. We like to seak it out wherever we travel to. We really enjoyed our meal here, portions (ordered large meat) were good and ingredients were fresh. This is the first Shabu Shabu I have visited that did not have bok choy and that's my favorite veggie I was disappointed. But they have all the other ingredients, excellent broths and variety of sauces, even egg for dipping. We ate here on a busy Saturday night, it felt like a cafeteria with how the business is run, very efficient but no ambiance for the cost of the meal.
I always have an excellent experience at this restaurant. The food is incredibly delicious, and we make it a point to visit every time we're in Irvine. The Kobe beef is outstanding—it's so tender that it practically melts in your mouth. The prime rib eye is also fantastic. I find that the 13 oz portion is just right if you're feeling hungry. Keep in mind that parking can be limited, so it's wise to plan ahead or arrive early.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Food was super fresh and so good. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was our first shabu experience and the owner explained everything to us and really gave us the full Shabu experience. The food was top quality.
