A little out of the way well, quite a longish out of the way in a sparsely populated location in Cataluña Catalunya as the catalans insists ! lies this long established restaurant with a reputation for extraordinary good snails. I had been looking forward to it as it had a very good reputation. We had booked as a party of 15 and so we were shown to a rectangular room on one side of the restaurant. It didnt take long for an uneasy feeling to creep in. The room was soulless,theres was no noise or chatter from outside the room, no overall atmosphere. The waiters we were allocated one with a second that made the odd appearance. There was some excitement in the group looking forward to the snails...
