This restaurant is behind the medieval castle of beautiful Calonge. It is very small, only few tables and they do not take reservations. Indeed, not only for the location, but for a true awesome experience of eating an authentic ‘arròs negre’, it is more than worth visiting Can Muni. The kitchen is at dinning room level, fully opened, and the owner and cook is the only staff that will serve you. Its like if a local opened their home and invited you to eat. No rush, it can take about three hours to eat, but it is because everything is cooked from scratch upon ordering. And it is so fresh and tasty, cosy and familiar that you will not want to leave. Best wines too go with very very good local dishes. This ‘arròs negre’ is similar to paella cooked with squid ink, so the rice is black. Do not atempt to order this anywhere else! The best authentic arròs negre is no doubt served here. Fideuà, that is like paella with noodles instead of rice, is also in the menu, as well as fresh fish, all kind of season sea food and local meat. Extremely recommendable.
