We tried Can Tomeu for a quick lunch time snack and a beer on our 2nd day, 4 hours later we were still there enjoying the welcoming atmosphere. Tomeu, his lovely wife Maria and Miguel are all so helpful and welcoming along with the amazing food at very reasonable prices, make it hard to leave this unassuming gem of a restaurant. We ate here 2 to 3 times per day depending if we were in town, making it possible to work our way through nearly every option on the menu, whatever your liking you can’t go wrong. WARNING The Salads in the starters are huge meals full of cheese, egg, ham, tuna, asparagus, olives, lettuce tomato. So expect to fight to finish it. There isn’t a bad meal on the menu but...
We visited this superb friendly place on Night 1 after a late night arrival just for a quick nightcap several beers and a couple of pizzas later we were staying goodnight to Tomeu and his lovely wife along with a couple of free shots of Pina Colado ! Day 2 Day 7 were very much repeats fortunately we were Room Only at our hotel so had breakfast or mid morning snacks at Tomeu every day met up with friends at night before heading for evening meals or simply popped in for a quick afternoon drink under an umbrella to chill for 1/2 hour in the superb Marorcan Sun. What a great place to eat and drink we called in a little late in the afternoon and Tommy said the chef had finished for the afternoon but she said she would cook for me and my wife I’m so pleased she did. Bread and Aloioli with a pot of Pate which was divine. We both had chicken breast with peppercorn sauce with chips and rice and I can still taste the meal as i write we visited again later in the stay and have sent family there since great place to take the children as they have a swimming pool lovely friendly staff and great service. We will return.
This is a lovely little cafe . Doesn’t look anything special from the outside but serves great food . Owner is very very friendly, remembered us on 2nd visit . He insists on giving you free melon and a shot as desert . Amazing Spanish omeletteand home cut chips . Prices very low for the quality of food . Also good for pre dinner drinks in the evening. After a slow start in this busy gem of a restaurant, we had a wonderful meal of grilled fish. Expecting a single grilled fish, we were presented with mussels, clams, prawns, squid and grilled salmon. A delight to eat. Olives and dips for apetisser with fruit following the meal and a liqueur to round it all off. Our camerero could not have been nicer.
Went to this little cafe every day as it was just beside our hotel, amazing people who work and own it! But the highlight of it, the free pinacolada shot and slice of melon after your meal. However, they also catered extremely well for me being a coeliac, nothing was trouble to the owner Tommy. Couldn’t rate it higher.
