Canaletto - Réservation de table

Everyone I know who had eaten there said it was expensive but worth every dime. Having had great expectations of the place, this evening had been utter disappointment. For this price, I expect good service and decent food. When we walked in, the member of staff didn't offer a smile and just showed us to our place. The starters were good (calamari and prawns), but the main weren't great. The duck breast was chewy, not tender; the fish was dry, needed more sauce; lobster linguine was okay I guess? I was still hungry and wanted dessert, but after the disappointing meal I didn't want to waste more money on more disappointment. Took forever to pay our bill as staff always seemed to be elsewhere....

Restaurant is of good size, perfect for a special occasion or event. Had a reservation for Sunday lunch time and the place was busy enough. Menu has a number of option and most of it is of good quality, having also a special menu on Sunday. I found it slightly overpriced but given the service, food portions and quality it didn’t came as a huge surprise.(only reason for not giving a straight 5! I’d give an extra half-point just for the Staff. Everyone extremely polite and helpful. For that special occasion when you’re interested in the experience it’s a great place to go.

Superb meal and dining experience. Excellent tasty authentic Italian dishes served in stylish surroundings. Friendly attentive staff and plenty of on site parking. If you have to have background Muzak then the jazz styles and level offered here are perfect allowing conversations to continue undisturbed. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

We made a reservation to celebrate Father's Day. While the set menu looked incredibly appetizing, my husband and son were determined to have carbonara, their all-time favorite. The kitchen graciously prepared it for us, and it was as amazing as always. We received lovely service and enjoyed fantastic food. What more could we possibly want? Réservez une table maintenant

We came by this place by chance whilst staying in the area. We would definitely return in future after an excellent meal and service. The choice of house wines were really good too! The waiter went out of his way to show me the bottle. I should also point out the interior and surrounding were done to a high standard.

Dined early, 6pm, due to visit to local Manor House before. Restaurant easy to find on main A41, with car park at front. Pleasant contemporary style, excellent menu choice, including vegetarian kids Starter, Main course dessert all well cooked, tasty good value. Definitely recommend

Amazing food and outstanding service! We spent £80 and enjoyed several fantastic dishes, and we shared a tiramisu that was so light and airy, it felt like we were eating a soft cloud (in the best way!). I would definitely come back again!

Dined in Canaletto with friends to celebrate my wife's birthday. The menu was comprehensive and can recommend the veal. The service was excellent. Recommended. Réservez une table maintenant

Fantastic Italian cuisine! My in-laws have been dining here for 30 years. The fish dishes are consistently excellent, and the dessert trolley is a real treat!
