Canteen Kitchen and Canteen Coffee occupy a small space in between James and Park Streets Burleigh Heads. They are separate buildings but operate as one.I called in to Canteen Kitchen for lunch but my coffee was delivered from the Canteen Coffee next door - and very good it was. As was my lunch... two poached eggs sitting on stewed spinach, which in turn was sitting on grilled halloumi.Lunch (inc coffee) was $19... good value. It's also worth mentioning that the service standards are very high.
This place is full of people that think they are above the customer. The people behind the coffee machine always comment on the people ordering from the counter. Not a good look. After all you only make coffee! Don’t go here unless you have no...Self-esteem. I thought the customers are suppose to be important? Not at this place
I had a spontaneous breakfast at this restaurant and was not disappointed at all! The breakfast was excellent and the chef obviously knows what they're doing. The coffee was also fantastic. I am grateful to have stumbled upon this hidden breakfast gem and will definitely be back. Thank you!
On my daughter's recommendation decided to try this casual eatery tucked away in a back street. On a Sunday lunch it wasn't busy but told the rush hour is for breakfast. The menu is limited but nicely executed by the young Brasilian chef. The service...by the kiwi waitress was spot on. Réservez une table maintenant
I tried this place for the first time and ordered a large latte with half strength. It cost $6, which I thought was a bit expensive, but it tasted great. I was a bit confused at first because there are two separate shops - one for food and the other down the street for coffee.
When staying at Burleigh Heads we always have breakfast at Canteen Kitchen and I can't fault it. The menu is full of delicious middle eastern inspired dishes (cumin scrambled eggs is my favourite) the service is always spot on and the coffee brilliant.
excellent breakfast menu. the food came very fast and was presented beautifully. Amazing aroma that has been removed from an amazing coffee. fantastic staff. only we regret that we found this place tomorrow that we left burleigh!
I had Spanish bene which was a delicious alternative take on eggs benedict with Spanish tortilla instead of muffin. Yum! Good service. Restaurant had high chairs so good for breakfast with my little nephew. Réservez une table maintenant
Food and service were very good. Portion size not massive but food was tasty. Back street location meant it wasn't busy so we were in and out quickly.
